The Office of Student Leadership and Engagement hosted its third-annual Bonfire Night, an event which inaugurated the winter sports season at Hofstra. This year, due to extended warm and dry weather conditions, OSLE decided to host the “non-fire” instead. The pile of firewood in HofUSA’s parking lot was strung with LED lights. Students and community members played games such as skeeball, foosball and Connect 4 in the lot. Hot chocolate and soft pretzels were provided to attendees who enjoyed a performance by Hofstra’s Dance Team and a visit by a local firetruck.
