ATLANTIC 10 NORTH
Massachusetts (5-1, 3-0): The Minutemen remained undefeated in the conference with a strong effort against Towson. Quarterback Liam Coen tied a school record with five touchdown passes and Steve Baylark rushed past the 4,000 yard mark for his career in the 35-0 romp.
Maine (4-2, 3-0): Maine continued to open eyes on Saturday as quarterback Ron Whitcomb set the pace with an 80-yard touchdown pass on the first play from scrimmage in a 20-7 win over Villanova. Ryan Callahan, who was the receiving end of that pass, added six more receptions in the game for 130 yards.
New Hampshire (5-1, 2-1): New Hampshire’s undefeated season ended this week at the hands of James Madison. Ricky Santos was 34 of 46 for 352 yards in the 42-23 defeat. With the loss, New Hampshire will drop out of the top spot in the national rankings.
Hofstra (2-4, 1-2): The Pride offense continued to struggle in its 10-6 loss at Delaware. Although Hofstra lost, the defense forced two turnovers.
Northeastern (2-4, 1-2): The Huskies will take the week off in stride need as they’ll prepare to try and upset New Hampshire in the coming week.
Rhode Island (2-4, 0-3): The Rams quarterback tandem of John Butler and D.J. Stefkovich combined for a meager 125 yards passing as Rhode Island was trampled at home by Richmond, 31-6.
ATLANTIC 10 SOUTH
James Madison (5-1, 3-0): James Madison upset top ranked New Hampshire, 42-23. The Dukes scored in every quarter, including 14 a piece in the second and third. Eugene Holloman led the way with three touchdowns on the ground.
Richmond (5-1, 2-1): After falling behind early in Rhode Island, the Spiders scored 31 unanswered points to beat the Rams. In the win quarterback Eric Ward threw for two touchdowns and ran for another.
Towson (4-2, 1-2): After starting off 4-0, the Tigers have lost two in a row. Their latest defeat came at the hands of UMass, as Towson failed to score a point in the 35-0 loss.
Delaware (3-3, 1-2): Joe Flacco was extremely accurate, completing 20 of 29 passes for 168 yards in a 10-6 victory over Hofstra. With the win, the Blue Hens avoided losing three straight home games for the first time since 1983.
Villanova (2-4, 1-2): Villanova was held to minus-24 yards rushing and 170 total yards in a 20-7 loss at Maine.
William & Mary (2-4, 0-3): Elijah Brooks rushed for 113 yards and two touchdowns as the Tribe crept past Liberty, 14-13. William & Mary won despite allowing 315 yards on the ground.
