• Three black male subjects confronted a male victim, 17, walking southbound on Benson Ave. at Roster Ave. on Nov. 11. One of the subjects punched the victim while the other two subjects knocked the victim to the ground. The subjects went through the victim’s pockets and stole the victim’s cell phone and an undisclosed amount of cash. The subjects fled on foot northbound on Benson Ave.
Franklin Square
• A 6-foot tall, white male subject approached two victims, both 12-years-old, walking on Madison Street at the intersection of Polk Street on Nov. 11 and demanded money. The victims emptied their pockets, but had no money. The subject then threatened to stab, while displaying no weapon, one of the victims if he did not hand over his iPod. The victim complied and the subject fled on foot northbound on Madison Street.
Freeport
• James Eason, 56, on four separate occasions between June and November, sold quantities of cocaine to undercover officers in the vicinity of Columus Ave. On Nov. 9, after the fourth sale, member of the Narcotics Bureau and the Bureau of Special Operations arrested him.
Great Neck
• A 45-year-old male victim was walking westbound along Steamboat Road on Nov. 9, when two unknown black male subjects, both 6-feet tall, approached him from behind, knocked him to the ground and proceeded to assault him with fists and feet. The subjects also stabbed the victim in the right leg before fleeing in a tan Mercedes Benz.
Hempstead
• Robert Livingstone, 27, of Front Street, while outside the Panda Restaurant on Nov. 8, became involved in a verbal argument with a 37-year-old male. The argument was over a computer the victim sold to Livingstone. A physical altercation ensued, at which time the defendant produced a handgun. During the struggle, the victim was shot once in the leg. Livingstone fled the scene in a white van.
• A 20-year-old victim was walking westbound on Front Street on Nov. 7 when two unknown Hispanic males approached him. One displayed a handgun and demanded the victim’s wallet. As the victim attempted to flee, he heard a shot fired and received a gunshot wound to his abdominal region.
• Marco Contreras, 31, of Terrace Ave. was riding a bicycle on South Franklin Street at the intersection of Peninsula Blvd. on Nov. 10, when an MTA bus struck him. The bus, operated by Tyisha Foster, 36, of Hempstead, was traveling northbound on South Franklin Street as Contreras rode along side the right rear of the bus. He was pronounced dead by Nassau University Medical Center staff.
Lakeview
• A Hispanic male subject, 40, 6-feet tall, thin build, wearing a black baseball cap, black jacket and blue jeans, armed with a baseball bat, entered the Sunoco gas station on Woodfield Road and confronted the male clerk, 32 on Nov. 11. The subject instructed the victim to open the cash register. He complied and handed the subject an undisclosed amount of cash. The victim scuffled with the subject as he fled on foot westbound on Eagle Ave.
Massapequa
• Steven Carfora, 24, and Joseph Carfora, 23, while outside of Johnny McGorey’s Pub on Nov. 11, opened up the driver’s side door of a vehicle and dragged a male victim, 30, out. The Carforas then began punching the victim in the face. A female subject pulled a female victim, 26, out of the passenger side of the vehicle and punched and kicker her. The Carforas and the female subject fled the scene in a black 1997 Honda Civic.
Merrick
• Michael Zeccardi, 21, while employed at the Vitamin Shoppe on Merrick Road, did fraudulent returns (pocketing the cash), consumed merchandise and gave merchandise to others without charging. Zeccardi’s transactions caused a loss of $18,674 to the Vitamin Shoppe.
• Patrick Fitzgibbon, 21, while employed at the Vitamin Shoppe on Merrick Road, did fraudulent returns (pocketing the cash), consumed merchandise and gave merchandise to others without charging. Fitzgibbon’s transactions cause a loss of $4,360 to the Vitamin Shoppe.
