OLD DOMINION (10-5-1, 7-1)—The Monarchs had a dominating weekend, finishing with two wins over UNC-Wilmington and Georgia State; outscoring them 8-0. Senior A. J. Kulp had a goal and two assists in the two games. Junior Trevor Banks also posted two goals, one in each game. The Monarchs have finished their regular season home schedule and head on the road to face off against Delaware and Drexel this week.
DREXEL (9-4-2, 6-2)—The Dragons had a tough weekend, losing matches to Hofstra and Northeastern to fall into second place in the CAA standings. Even worse they were shut out in both contests; the third and fourth time this season. The Dragons are home for the rest of the regular season and host William and Mary and Drexel this week.
WILLIAM AND MARY (8-6-3, 5-2-1)—The Tribe had an impressive weekend, winning both games against Georgia State and UNC-Wilmington. The Tribe did not allow a goal to either team. Freshman Alan Kroger scored the winning goal with just two minutes left against Georgia State, and also added a goal in the victory over UNC-Wilmington. The Tribe head on the road this week to take on Drexel and Delaware.
TOWSON (8-5-1, 5-2)—The Tigers only played one game last weekend, an overtime loss to VCU; their game against James Madison was postponed due to inclement weather. Junior Cesar Cisneros scored both the goals for the Tigers, but it wasn’t enough as VCU scored the game winner with seven minutes left in overtime. This week the Tigers make-up the game against James Madison, then travel to Hofstra and Northeastern.
NORTHEASTERN (6-8-1, 4-3-1)—The Huskies tied Delaware and defeated Drexel last week. Freshman Santiago Bedoya scored the first goal of his career, but the Huskies couldn’t hold the lead to end in a 1-1 tie against Delaware. Seniors Greg Kilkenny and Ahmed Talaat each scored goals in the win over Drexel.
JAMES MADISON (5-7-3, 4-3)—The Dukes were only able to play one game last weekend due to the cancellation of their game against Towson. They defeated George Mason on the strength of goals by freshman C.J. Sapong and senior Lasse Kokko. Junior Nick Zimmerman also had two assists in the win. This week the Dukes make up the game against Towson and then travel to Georgia State and UNC-Wilmington.
VCU (8-5-2, 4-4)—The Rams had a good weekend, defeating both George Mason and Towson to get to .500 in their CAA record. The seniors on the team provided all six of the points against George Mason, and freshman Jorit Loehr notched two goals in the win over Towson. This week the Rams travel to UNC-Wilmington and Georgia State.
GEORGE MASON (5-8-2, 2-5-1)—The Patriots had a tough weekend, losing matches to VCU, their home finale, and James Madison. They were outscored in those games 5-2. Senior Chris Chaves provided the goal on a penalty kick against VCU. Freshman Patrick Barthold registered his first career goal in the loss at James Madison. The Patriots continue their road trip this week against Northeastern and Hofstra.
DELAWARE (2-11-2, 2-5-1)—The Blue Hens completed a winless weekend with a tie against Northeastern and an overtime loss to Hofstra. Freshman Ben Rodkey scored his first career goal in the tie with Northeastern. Sophomore Paul Danaher scored his second goal in three games in the loss against Hofstra. The Blue Hens host Old Dominion and William and Mary this week.
GEORGIA STATE (4-10-1, 1-7)—The Panthers were completely dominated last weekend, dropping both matches to William and Mary and Old Dominion by a combined score of 6-0. The Panthers have now lost six in a row and have not registered a goal since October 7th. This week the Panthers host James Madison and VCU.
UNC-WILMINGTON (2-12-1, 1-7)—The Seahawks were shutout last weekend, losing both matches to Old Dominion and William and Mary. The Seahawks have not scored in three straight games and have lost 10 of their last 11 games. This week the Seahawks will take on VCU and James Madison.
