While the offense did manage to gain 425 yards in total offense and put up 31 points, quarterback Brian Savage had another shaky outing; getting picked off three times. He did have a nice 63-yard touchdown pass to Ottis Lewis. Running back Kareem Huggins had another productive day on the ground with two touchdowns and 141 yards rushing, he did have a costly fumble in the fourth quarter that led to a Stony Brook touchdown and got them within five points.OFFENSE: B-
The defense bent but did not break. They held Sea Wolves running back Conte Cuttino to only 68 yards, but they allowed quarterback Josh Dudash to pass for 244 yards and three touchdowns. Outside linebacker Luke Bonus led the way with 8 tackles. Safety Stephen Tate intercepted Dudash with 2:32 left in the game to seal the win for the Pride.DEFENSE: B
The special teams unit came up big for the Pride, scoring five points that would eventually be the margin of victory. Everette Benjamin blocked a punt early in the game on a mishandled snap that resulted in a safety. Kicker Rob Zarilli also added a 22-yard field goal. Kareem Huggins totaled 118 return yards.SPECIAL TEAMS: A
The Pride rebounded from an early turnover that led to a quick 7-0 deficit. Head Coach Dave Cohen made the right adjustments to hold off Stony Brook for the win. Cohen proved he can win the close game at the end, as this was easily the Pride’s smallest margin of victory. He has the Pride now 4-0 for the first time since 1999.COACHING: B+
