The Pride were hard pressed to duplicate last weeks output of 410 yards, but the team had a nice encore performance this week. The Pride totaled 353 yards of total offense. Quarterback Brian Savage passed for 262 yards with three touchdowns, two of them rushing. Running back Kareem Huggins totaled 91 yards on the ground. Wide out Charles Sullivan had another big game with 125 yards on only six catches.

The Pride defense gave another superb effort on the defensive side of the ball. The Great Danes offense was held to just three points in the first half and 13 overall. Cohen’s defense held the Great Danes offense to only 225 yards of total offense. The defense also held Albany quarterback Vinny Esposito to only 131 yards rushing and picked him off twice.
DEFENSE: A+
A 98-yard kickoff return for a touchdown by Kareem Huggins is enough to give the special teams an ‘A’ for the week. Kicker Rob Zarilli also added four PATs. The Pride also totaled 25 punt return yards.
SPECIAL TEAMS: A
Head coach Dave Cohen is continuing the Pride renaissance with another stellar performance on Saturday. Its early in the season, but so far Cohen is doing one of the great turnaround jobs in the conference. The Pride have already matched last season’s win total.
COACHING: A+

Two weeks into the season, Kareem Huggins has emerged as the fire behind Hofstra’s attack, leading the team in rushing and emerging as a top kick returner. (Sean M. Gates)
