Keeping with its reputation of shows that both shock and stimulate audiences, HBO brings the controversial “Tell Me You Love Me.” Showing three couples in therapy and the intimacy, or lack thereof, between the pairings, creator Cynthia Mort hopes to end “marginalized sex” on television. The subject matter is surprisingly real (as are the sex scenes) and with no soundtrack, the audience is forced into the couples’ awkward conversations. There’s a noticeable lack of diversity among the characters and it’s no “Sex and the City,” but two episodes in, it’s reassuring to see our insecurities on the screen.

Of Montreal, the indie pop sensation from Athens, Georgia, have been gaining quite the reputation since emerging onto the music scene over a decade ago as part of the Elephant 6 Collective. In recent months, frontman Kevin Barnes performed pants-less in Vegas and the arty act’s work has even been heard on commercials for Outback Steakhouse. Selling out aside, we’re still excited to catch them at Roseland Ballroom on Oct. 13. Let’s hope they don’t sell out before we get our tix.

The pairing of oddball comedian Jack Black with the world’s most refined lady, Nicole Kidman, is not something we’re willing to pass up. Catch them in “Margot at the Wedding” out later this year.
