After 72 years, the University is introducing another tradition. Those 05/05/07 flyers are being revealed, and yes, they are “better than G.”
On Saturday, May 5, 2007 at 2 p.m. make your way over to the intramural fields for Hofstra Music Fest 2007. Hofstra Concerts and Entertainment Unlimited are bringing what they hope to be an annual tradition celebrating Hofstra University.
The Student Government Association, Office of Student Affairs, Organization of Commuter Students, Graduate Student Organization and the Office of Student Leadership and Activities are all involved in this exciting day.
Five bands will perform including RX Bandits, Jamie’s Smile, Settle, Waffle Stompers, Stealing Jane and Silas Wood. Student Organizations will perform between sets.
“What we really want is to make this a fun tradition and day at Hofstra like they have at so many other schools,” says Veronica Gerosimo, president of Hofstra Concerts.
Anyone involved in the Hofstra community is invited to enjoy free BBQ food and Lackmann’s own version of street fair food that can be paid for with a HofstraCard. A blow up obstacle course and bungee cord will be available for all to utilize.
Want to help jump start this new University tradition? Student organizations are also invited to participate by setting up tables on the fields by contacting Hofstra Concerts at [email protected].
