Baldwin
-At 4:00 a.m. on March 28, Officer Brandon Hillman, observed the defendants, Hector Rivas, 19, and Andres Fernandez, 21, operating a white 1996 Toyota Camry in a suspicious manner. The officer proceeded to conduct a traffic stop and investigation, which revealed the defendants to be in possession of a pink Buxton wallet, stolen from a vehicle on Grace Street.
-Two members of the Bureau of Special Operations, on March 28, on patrol in an unmarked vehicle, observed a 1996 Nissan in the parking lot of the 7-Eleven on Grand Ave. The rear passenger, Lakeim Mann, 20, exited the vehicle and entered the 7-Eleven. After making eye contact with the officers, the operator of the Nissan, Monique Harris, 21, and passenger George Graydon, 21, feld the parking lot and drove into oncoming traffic. Officers stopped the vehicle and found a loaded 22-caliber revolver on the floor and that Graydon was wearing a bullet proof vest.
Carle Place
-A male victim, 31, while leaving his place of employment, CBL Check Cashing, on April 4, was confronted in the parking lot by two black males, approximately 6 feet tall, with medium build. The subjects, both armed with handguns, ordered the victim into a green minivan and when the victim did not comply, he was struck in the head with a handgun and pulled into the van. One of the subject’s then took the keys to the check-cashing store from the victim and gained entry. The check-casing store did not suffer a loss, but the subjects did steal the victim’s cell phone.
Cove Neck
-Landscapers, working at a residence on March 28, discovered a bag containing a human leg, which appears to have washed up on the beach. Old Brookville Police responded to the scene and the body part was taken to the Nassau County Medical Examiner’s Morgue for identification.
Hempstead
-A 39-year-old man was walking home from work on March 27 when three black males, teens to early 20s, approached him in the vicinity of Blempton Place. The three males began to strike the victim with punches and one suspect stabbed the victim in the abdomen. When the victim fell to the ground, the suspects went into his pants pocket and removed his wallet that contained U.S. currency and Dominican Pesos. The suspects fled on foot in an unknown direction.
Lakeview
-An unknown male subject entered the Lakeview Deli on March 28 and displayed a silver handgun and threatened to shoot the 40-year-old counterperson unless he relinquished his wallet. When the victim indicated he had none, the subject fired one round in the vicinity of the victim’s feet and demanded cash from the register. The victim complied and the subject fled with undisclosed cash proceeds. The subject is described as a black male, 5 feet 7 inches tall, slim build, early 20s, wearing dark clothing and a black ski mask.
Plainview
-Detectives report that on March 30, an unknown red or maroon colored vehicle operated by an unknown suspect, traveling westbound on Old Country Road, passed through a red traffic light and struck male pedestrian Gurcharan Singh, 77. The victim was pronounced dead at Nassau University Medical Center.
Port Washington
-Daniel Fuentes, 17, and a juvenile accomplice set off fireworks within Schreiber High School on March 30 causing the school to be evacuated. While the school was evacuated, Tavis Baugher, 17, Michael Horvilleur, 17, and Nicholas Divittorio, 17, then set off additional fireworks outside of the school. The fireworks set off inside caused damage to the floor.
Syosset
-At approximately 10:15 p.m. on April 6, three male subjects armed with handguns approached two men in front of Gordon Drive and stole the victims’ jewelry and an unknown amount of U.S. currency. After the robber, the subjects entered a blue Nissan with dark windows and were last seen driving northbound on Gordon Drive. They are described as black males, wearing fatigue jeans, hooded sweatshirts and do-rags over their faces.
Uniondale
-The victim, while working for Wing Hing Kitchen as a delivery person, was making a delivery to Barry Place on April 7, when he approached three males between 16 and 17 years old, wearing dark clothing, that were standing in the driveway. At that time the first suspect took the food and physically pulled off the victim’s jacket that contained currency and car keys. They all fled on foot northbound on Barry Place.
Valley Stream
-Shawn Stallworth, 21, of Brooklyn Ave., made a fraudulent purchase with a male victim’s credit card at Sears Department store on April 4 at Green Acres Mall. Store security discovered the fraudulent transaction when the subject produced fake identification, also in the victim’s name.
