Virginia Commonwealth (24-6) (16-2): The Rams ended their regular season they way they started it, with a win. Jesse Pellot Rosa made a follow-up shot and a free throw with three seconds left and VCU beat Georgia State 72-70 to claim the CAA regular season championship. The Rams have secured a number one seed and a first round bye when the CAA tournament kicks off on March 2. Old Dominion (23-7) (15-3): The Monarchs ended the regular season on a roll with yet another win. Their eleventh consecutive victory came over the Tribe of William and Mary by a score of 62-57. Drew Williamson and Valdas Vasylius will lead their team to the CAA tournament as the number two seed and a first round bye.
Hofstra (22-8) (14-4): Hofstra fans may be somewhat disappointed with how the regular season has gone. The Pride was picked as the preseason regular season champs of the CAA. Hofstra secured the third seed and a first round bye in the CAA tournament with their win over James Madison. Carlos Rivera scored a career high 37 points in the 98-78 win.
Drexel(22-7) (13-5): The Dragons capped a very successful season with a three game winning streak. There most recent win came over Towson 77-68. Drexel clinched the fourth seed in the CAA tournament and the last first round bye. With strong Non-Conference wins over Villanova and Syracuse, the Dragons may have already punched their ticket to the big dance.
Northeastern (12-18) (9-9): If there is anything to take positive from the regular Northeastern won nine of their twelve games in conference. The Huskies finished the season on a 3 game winning steak with their latest coming over George Mason. The impressive win clinched the fifth from the hands of George Mason and will play 12 seed Deleware on March 2nd at 2:30.
George Mason (15-14) (9-9): The Patriots ended their regular season with yet another disappointing loss. No player reached double figures for the Patriots as they fell to Northeastern 73-50. George Mason 9-9 conference record was good enough for a sixth seed and will play the eleven seed James Madison on March 2 at 8:30 pm.
Towson (14-16) (8-10): Towson too had a disappointing end to their season as well. Towson lost 77-68 to Drexel extending their loosing streak to 3. Towson clinched the seventh seed and will play number ten seed UNC Wilmington on March 2nd at 6:00pm.
William & Mary (15-14) (8-10): The Tribe had the potential to grab a fifth or six seed in the CAA tourney but faltered down the stretch loosing three in a row. William & Mary are now proud owners of the eighth and will open the tournament against the 9th seed Georgia State.
Georgia State (10-19) (5-13): The Panthers played VCU very tough but came up two points short. Hopefully this will give Georgia State some much needed confidence when they play 8th seeded William and Mary and look for the upset.
UNC Wilmington (7-21) (4-14): UNC Wilmington ended their regular season with a step in the right direction. Vladimir Kuljanin led the way with 17 points and 10 rebounds as they beat Delaware 75-66. The Seahawks look to build on their win as they enter the CAA tournament as 10 seed.
James Madison(7-22) (4-14): The Dukes lost six in a row including a 20 point blow out at home to Hofstra. James Madison will look to break their loosing streak as they face sixth seed and heavy favorite George Mason.
Delaware (5-25) (3-15): Delaware had an awful season. They are hanging on to the last spot in the CAA tournament and are counting down the days until this miserable season is over.
