The University suspended, with pay, an assistant football coach who was arrested on misdemeanor charges of assault for allegedly punching an opposing coach in an off-campus touch football game. Khamal Roy, 28, the assistant defensive backs coach, will stay suspended through an investigation into the matter, said Melissa Connolly, the assistant vice president for University Relations, in a Newsday article published Wednesday.
