Ryan Broderick: Hey Jim! Jim Ausanio: What’s up, Ryan? RB: Not too much, so did you like the New York Anime Festival? JA: It was a little out there for me, but still enjoyable. RB: Oh yeah? what did you think was the most out-of-place thing you saw? JA: I think it was all of the people dressed up like Rorshcach. What does that have to do with anime? RB: Apparently people that like anime also like serial killers…who woulda thought? JA: Or are serial killers. RB: Well there was that Hofstra Grad we bumped in to. The one with the surveys. Remembers him? JA: Guy who was testing people to see how magical they were? RB: Yeah there was a Hofstra grad that was giving people psycho¬logical surveys about their psychiatric stability and testing them for magical powers. Well, even with all the weirdoes I think it was pretty cool. Did you like all that J-Pop techno? Or the Japanese school girls? JA: I was lost in a sea of Japanese schoolgirls, and I didn’t want to be found. RB: You know what they say about Japanese School Girls at The New York Anime Festival… JA: They are only inter¬ested in the big Gundam Wings? RB: They’re only into guys who can get to Super Saiyan 3? Did you see that giant robot? JA: That thing was about 10 feet tall. RB: And did u see it when it was dancing. JA: And it had that crazy voice projection system. How much do you think that costume cost? RB: I dunno, but it sure made him seem pretty horrible. Imagine spend¬ing that much time build¬ing a robot suit. JA: That’s a lot of hours in your mom’s basement. RB: I wonder if you can buy Energon at BJ’s. JA: You sure can’t buy friends…there. RB: Did you enjoy all the cool swag? Like toys and manga and stuff? JA: Yeah I really liked the Hentai, but I’m not quite sure what it is. RB: Hey, they may be cartoon ladies but they still look good when they take their cartoon clothes off. JA: And they were ana¬tomically correct. RB: Although a little pricy…Do you think you’d go again?? To the con¬vention? Not the hentai booth… JA: I could do with less ugly people. RB: Well that’s like not getting wet in a pool JA: I guarantee no ladies were getting wet in the anime convention… RB: Well, ugly anime weirdoes or not, I can’t wait for next year!
JA: I think it will be a super fun time.
