Could you describe your collection and what the pieces on display include?
My work focuses on the human body but not necessarily in a conventional way. I like to focus on the skin and its different tones and qualities. Because human mentality is so complex, I pretty much try to avoid it and keep my focus on the physicality of the body. I’m also including a small installation with a few sculptures.
How did you get started as an artist?
I’ve always liked painting and drawing, but I really got started after I took a summer intensive course for painting and drawing at Parsons when I was 16. That’s when I realized I really wanted to do something with art for the rest of my life.
What are your inspirations?
I’m not really sure what my inspirations are. I just keep an eye out in life, which usually leads to something.
What do you hope to do after graduation? Will art continue to be a big part of your life?
I have no idea what I’ll do after graduation, but I definitely want art to be a part of it.
