It’s that time again. Spring is finally here and so are the new must-have trends. Spring/Summer 2010 styles are all about adding a touch of the delicate past to the outrageous details of the future. There is something to suit everyone’s personal style this spring.
This season is bursting with patterns; everything from stripes to floral and especially geometric prints. Mixing patterns can be tricky, but print on print is definitely in. Feel free to experiment this season because anything goes.
Neutrals are always a spring. must have. That barely-there look pairs perfectly with just about everything. They will keep your look clean, classic and trendy. Anything from neutral bags, shoes or even the new neutral pant can help to expand your wardrobe. Don’t limit yourself to beige, barely-there gray is also in and a great go-to color to finish off any outfit.
Stripes are always a safe bet, giving off that classic summer prep feel. However, this year stripes are breaking out of the box with a more daring look. You will be seeing more off-the- shoulder bold striped shirts and of course the amazing striped bandage skirts. Go stripe crazy- you can’t go wrong.
Distressed denim and shorts are also a spring/summer must- have and this year is no exception. Denim is definitely big this year and is moving right along into spring 2010. Denim takes on a new form with patches and extreme distressing. Find a flattering pair of jeans, throw on a basic tee, sandals and a fedora for a cool, relaxed look. Hot pants are the style of shorts for the upcoming warmer months. Pair them with delicate accents to keep the look from going overboard.
Delicate pieces are big this spring, with lace being the main focus. Every designer is pairing lace with your most basic forms of clothing, including t-shirts. Incorporating this trend into your wardrobe will be a cinch.
There are so many new trends to play with this season. Take risks and have fun, it’s what the warmer months are all about.
