For the fifth time in its 61-year history, the University will present “Twelfth Night” as the main-stage offering of the Annual Shakespeare Festival. The festival, presented by the Department of Drama and Dance, will also feature a one-hour adaptation of “Julius Caesar” by English Department professor Maureen Connolly McFeely entitled “The Ides of March.”

Drama Department professor Peter Sander directs “Twelfth Night,” which he sets in the post-Civil War South. Adjunct professor Chris Dippel directs “The Ides of March,” which will tour area high schools thanks to a grant from Dr. David Salten.

Performances of “Twelfth Night” will take place in the John Cranford Adams Playhouse on Thursday, March 11, Friday, March 12 and 19, and Saturday, March 13 and 20 at 8 p.m. and 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 14 and 21. “The Ides of March” will be performed on Saturday March 13 and 20 at 2 p.m. and Thursday, March 18 at 8 p.m.
