Tim Burton’s film won’t be released for a few more weeks, but already everyone can’t get enough of “Alice in Wonderland.” From Versace to Swarovski, designers have been incorporating whimsical and vibrant prints, clocks and rabbits into their latest pieces to reference the classic tale. Even O.P.I has launched a line of “Alice”-inspired polishes with lots of blues and reds. The most notable among these products is the limited edition Book of Shadows by super-fun cosmetic company Urban Decay ($52, Sephora).
As a UD palette collector, it can be attested that their must-have shadows range from the essential basic to the out-of-this-world and are nestled in unique, detailed casings. The Book of Shadows is no exception; an elaborate pop-up of the young title character in the mushroom forest is the trippy scene one views when they open it. A pull-out drawer reveals 16 of UD’s best-selling shadows like rich purples and grays with Alice-inspired names like “Jabberwocky” and “White Rabbit.” There are also two travel-sized versions of their 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils and a mini Primer Potion— perfect for on-the-go situations.
Though the palette has sold out online, readers can head to their local Ulta or Sephora to see if they’re in-stock. Also follow Twitter.com/UrbanDecay411 for constant updates! Tim Burton’s “Alice in Wonderland” will be released in theaters on March 5.
