Despite cancelled classes, University students were still surprised to see a snowy campus on Wednesday morning. The storm, which brought much of the Northeast to a halt, was a welcome change of pace. Many students took to erecting large snowmen in such areas as the Netherlands and Liberty/Republic.
However, the most popular pastime was still snowball fighting. All over campus, students took to pelting each other with balls of snow, whether it be in an organized game or a spontaneous brawl. The Hofstra Chronicle even took part in the fun with a showdown against the members of the University’s radio station, WRHU, in the Memorial Hall Quad.
