Two members of the Hofstra University men’s basketball team were treated for minor injuries after their car was rear-ended yesterday morning at approximately nine o’clock at the intersection of California Avenue and Hempstead Turnpike, according to Hofstra Public Safety Associate Director of Operations John O’Malley.
Shortly after the accident, junior forward David Imes tweeted that he and newly signed center Bryant Crowder were involved:
“Just got into a car accident my back and knee is killin me I hope my bro @bryant_crowder_ is side.”
Crowder later tweeted after his release from the hospital:
