The Men’s soccer team, which led by two after the first half against nationally ranked Coastal Carolina at the Clemson University Tournament, lost 3-2, Friday.
The Pride’s first goal came at 14:37 by sophomore Arman Osoli when he capitalized on a corner kick by junior Billy Chung.
Osoli assisted on the Pride’s next goal, when junior forward Michael Todd scored his team leading third goal. Todd has been hot in the team’s last few contests, and is playing extremely well.
Coastal Carolina (7-2) scored three goals in the second half, and earned its seventh win of the year.
Boyzzz Khumalo came up big for the Chanticleers by assisting on their first goal at 62:53 and then scoring the game tying goal with 15:34 remaining. Dario Grassini put the game away when he scored with 5:31 to go.
For a change, the Pride (3-5) was out shot in this game 16-13. The Chanticleers had 13 of those shots in the second half.
The Pride faces Clemson, the tournament host, Sunday at 3 p.m. Clemson won its first game 1-0 over Virginia Tech.
