Move on over gentlemen, the ladies of the University have some great stuff to show off as well in this week’s edition of Sex and the Suburbs. What a great end to the semester, and a great lead into the scandalous activities of 2005.
Bachelorette Number One aka The Sexy Brooklyn Nerd
Elizabeth (Liz), 20, Junior, Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences, Brooklyn, Virgo. Sex and the City character she’s most like? Charlotte York (Kristin Davis’ character). I can appear shy and serious, but once you get to know me, you know I’m not that way at all. Three words to describe her: Passionate, witty, radiant. Thing she misses most about a relationship? Looking at the person and feeling you would want nothing more from life if you could stay with him in that moment forever. One thing about men she will never understand? Men whose actions don’t match their words, or men who can’t tell you what they really feel unless they’ve got alcohol in their system. And why most men have to wait exactly one and a half days before they call you for the first time. Thing that separates her from other women? My values and love for life. I won’t change the person I am for anyone, regardless if anyone else shares my beliefs. I don’t take living life for granted. It can be so easy to get bogged down by trivial things, but I focus on what there is to enjoy and be grateful for. If you look at every day as a gift, it really makes a difference. It’s not to say that I’m always happy, but I think I have a different perspective on life than most people. Stereotype of University girls she breaks? Smart girls can be sassy, spontaneous and sexy.
Martini’s Inside Track: There’s something to be said about a woman who graduates college a year ahead of time. Especially when she has also found the time to create a great social circle around herself and beam with radiance all the while doing so. Liz is the epitome of sweetness. Put her next to a hot fudge sundae and I don’t know who would win. In addition to a contagious giggle and stellar personality, she exudes happiness at all times, the utmost optimism and endless class and beauty. Need a sexy tutor? E-mail Liz at [email protected].
Bachelorette Number Two aka The Hot Sorority Girl You’re Too Shy to Talk To
Ashley, 19, Sophomore, Undecided major, Edison, N.J. Virgo. Sex and the City character she’s most like? Charlotte because she looks the most innocent and she is family oriented but she loves being with her friends and really has a wild side! Three words to describe her: Unique, spontaneous and funny. Thing she misses most about a relationship? Getting to cuddle and always having some one there to support you. One thing about men she will never understand? There’s not just one there are like 50. But I guess it would be what goes on in their heads sometimes. I can never understand why they do some of the things they do. Thing that separates her from other women? My witty sense of humor. Stereotype of University girls she breaks? If The University was like the high school from the movie Grease, it is mostly made up of Rizzos. But I’m the Sandy–that sets me apart from the rest.
Martini’s Inside Track: It is very demanding to be a woman. We are supposed to look a certain way and magically have the most amazing personality to match. As we all know, most are usually highlighted in one area and completely dark in the other. But Ashley breaks all stereotypes and brings together a great blend of natural beauty and natural charm as well. And throw away any stereotypes of sorority girls you have in your mind right now, because Ashley is one of the most genuine, sweet and witty women I have ever been friends (or sisters) with. Although she has the looks of the model, she has the brains of a chemist and the charm of a comedian all rolled into one. Any guy would be lucky to date her, for she truly is that amazing on all fronts. And has that kind of personality that will challenge any guy to make him a better person. E-mail Ashley, she’s not shy, so you shouldn’t be either. You can E-mail ashley at [email protected].
Bachelorette Number Three aka The Bohemian Beauty You Want To Wrestle in Paint
Havi, 21, Junior, Production/Costume Design with a Minor in Fine Arts, Margate, N.J., Gemini. Sex and the City character she’s most like? Carrie because we have the same fashion style and I feel like people come to me for advice. I just feel like we have a similar crazy personality. Three words to describe her: Energetic, personable and creative. Thing she misses most about a relationship? The constant affection. One thing about men she will never understand? The constant need to play games, and why they can’t just be upfront and be themselves. Is it really that hard? Thing that separates her from other women? I feel like I am much more laid back than other women and I don’t sweat the little things. And I think that life is too short and sometimes you need to stop and look at the beauty around you and always play videogames. Stereotype of University girls she breaks? I care more about the inside of someone than their outside appearance.
Martini’s Inside Track: In college it is sometimes hard to find people who think outside of the box, and who take the time to be original and keep discovering who they are instead of keep molding themselves into the world around them. Havi never ceases to impress me with her new fashion ideas, or artistic abilities, or genuine spark about life. And it isn’t about her not caring about what others think, it is more about her wanting to constantly challenge herself and discover new things.
She is always up for a good night out, and makes every situation a fun one. She has such an inspired beauty about her, and has the smile and spark to make anything bad into something amazing. Havi is the type of friend, and potential girlfriend or interest who would find the best in you, because there are so many great things about her that she brings out in other people.
