Amanda Fakuade, freshman “I’m really upset about it actually. I don’t know, it’s just, I feel a lot of emotion because I really thought I was going to witness a piece of history; first came Obama and then came the first female president.”

What was your reaction to the results of the election?

David Rotenberg, senior “I’m extremely upset and terrified for the country, that someone who’s bragged about sexually harassing women is now our president.”

Jimmy Wegeny, freshman “I was very surprised. I did not expect that to happen. I was disappointed. I think right now America is at a crossroads where things could get really bad or they could just get kind of bad. And I’m not going to pick which one it’s going to be because I have no idea.”

Miranda Pinto, freshman “I was very disappointed. I had to take a little bit too, for some self-care because it was very upsetting because the president-elect does not necessarily acknowledge and support the rights of minorities and the LGBTQ community. So I was a little disappointed.”
