On Oct. 14, at 7:30 p.m., A male student came to PS reporting that he was physically struck by another Hofstra student. The matter was referred to the dean of the Office of Community Standards.
On Oct. 14, at 11:05 p.m., While making rounds in Colonial Square, an RA discovered the odor of marijuana coming from a room. PS responded and found two students; they were both issued notices to appear for the drug violation.
On Oct. 15, at 12:00 a.m., An RA making rounds in Colonial Square smelled an odor of marijuana. PS responded and three students were issued notices to appear for drug violations.
On Oct. 15, at 12:15 a.m., PS responded to a call from Constitution hall about a dispute between two students. Both students were issued referrals to the Office of Community Standards.
On Oct. 15, at 2:30 p.m., A visitor made a complaint to PS that their windshield had been broken while parked near the baseball field.
On Oct. 15, at 11:30 p.m., PS officers observed two Hofstra students walking on top of the Unispan. Both students were issued notices to appear and referrals to the Office of Community Standards.
On Oct. 16, at 1:00 a.m., While making rounds, an RA discovered two students smoking marijuana in the laundry room of a residence hall. Both students were issued referrals to the Office of Community Standards.
On Oct. 16, at 8:00 p.m., A non-student reported to PS that while he was playing soccer in the Hofstra Bubble, his bag and wallet were stolen. An investigation of the area recovered the bag, but $500 was stolen from the wallet.
On Oct. 14, at 3:30 p.m. A female student residing in Enterprise hall complained of a headache and back pain, as well as nausea. An ambulance was called and she was transported to NUMC for treatment.
On Oct. 15, A female student residing in Constitution hall complained of a bad headache. She was transported to NUMC for treatment.
On Oct. 15, at 9:15 a.m., A nonstudent visitor injured her right knee on the intramural fields. An ambulance was called and she was transported to NUMC for treatment.
On Oct. 15, at 10:00 a.m., A male nonstudent came into the PS office and reported that he dislocated his shoulder while playing Quidditch on the intramural fields. An ambulance was called and he was transported to NUMC for treatment.
On Oct. 15, A nonstudent attending a lacrosse game complained of dizziness. He was transported to NUMC for treatment.
On Oct. 17, 12:20 a.m., A female student living in the Netherlands reported to PS that she was having an allergic reaction. An ambulance responded and she was taken to NUMC for treatment.
On Oct. 12, 6:41 p.m., A Vander Poel hall fire alarm was activated. The fire department and PS responded. Upon investigation, it was discovered that the alarm was caused by a student using a vaporizer. The fire alarm was reset and the residents were allowed back into the building.
On Oct. 19, A Hofstra staff member reported that while walking in a parking lot, she tripped and fell in a pothole, injuring her hand. She declined medical assistance, but a work order to fix the pothole was issued.
On Oct. 19, at 2:00 p.m., A Compass Dining employee reported she felt light headed. PS responded and she was taken to the wellness center.
On Oct. 19, 2:00 p.m., A female student reported to PS that she had been hit by a car earlier in the day. Over the course of the day she realized she had been injured and she was taken to the wellness center for treatment.
On Oct. 19, at 5:00 p.m., A female student in Bill of Rights reported that she twisted her ankle while walking down the stairs in the Student Center. Public safety transported her to NUMC for treatment.
On Oct. 19, at 9:30 a.m., A fire alarm in the Netherlands was activated due to steam from a shower. PS responded. Once the building was deemed safe, residents were allowed back in.
