College students enjoy getting action, but the truth of the matter is not all of them actually do. So to fill the void, a little Internet pornography search maybe performed on certain occasions.
Once you finally reach a decent site a little icon pops up telling you to get off and you’ve been caught. Shortly after, you receive a call from your parents and you are busted, they now know you’ve been looking at pornography again.
This situation is not so far-fetched thanks to the new Christian Web site that is bringing more awareness to people everywhere about the problems of pornography addiction.
A Christian Internet pornography site seems like a contradiction of terms, but sure enough there is one out there. The number one Christian pornography site, www.xxxchurch.com, however if you visit the Web site you will come to find absolutely no pornography on it.
“Our site is dedicated to pornography and how it is affecting people. It’s a pornography site because that’s what we are talking about,” Craig Gross, one of the creators of this Web site, said.
The site discourages the pornography lover from viewing it in all mediums, including the Internet. The site also includes several ways of helping people with pornography addictions. This Web site is all about educating the public on the effects of pornography on the public.
“There is no pornography on our site because we believe that pornography keeps you hanging. We are here to give you truth and inspiration, not nude pictures,” Foster said.
The xxxchurch.com site is to help those who have a problem with obsessing over pornography. They offer software for a small price, or another free version known as “X3 Watch,” for those who are dealing with their sexual problems of viewing pornography. “X3 Help at Home” is a 10-week program in which adults can conquer their pornography problem in the privacy of their own home. It does take determination from the addict however.
Those in the program are expected to read and listen to online material. X3 also has trained counselors who consult each patient through weekly phone conversations. In 10 weeks, the addict will be either significantly better with their problem or will be cured of their addiction to pornography. There are other ways the X3 Web site helps with pornography addiction.
There is also a toll-free help line available everyday of the week from 6 to 9 p.m. Calls are completely confidential and one is able to seek help or answers to any questions they may have. So if your wondering if masturbating is considered a sin, which is an issue addressed on the Web site, or are in desperate need of some good Christian advice, call (888) 309-4218. Again a trained counselor is on the line and can speak with addicts or their family members completely free.
Free software is also available and it works in a very unique way.
“When the addict signs up online they designate two accountability partners who receive e-mails of all the pornography Web sites the addict visits,” Gross said.
Whenever the person with the problem visits a Web site it is e-mailed to his two accountability partners and the addict is caught in the act. This is what can get people into a little bit of trouble because it can be done with out the person with the problem knowing. Those wondering if the person has a problem can set it up on their computer without them knowing and be notified about their pornography usage.
This Web site includes buddy icons, wallpaper, T-shirts, screen savers and other anti-pornography gear.
