(1) New Direct Message!
Hey guys, as informal as this may be,
I’d like to use this poem to reach out,
And remind you that “us” is still “we”.
Things are getting rough out there, as you may see,
But to hurt together might help us make it out,
Listen in, as informal as this may be.
I don’t have the cure, I lack the IQ we’d need.
But I do have hope, that started to sprout,
When I remembered that us is still we.
Once this is over, when we go quarantine free,
We can remind ourselves what love is about,
And celebrate what proves that us is still we.
“We will make it out of this,” the phrase sounds so sweet.
I hope that this all helps relieve our pouts,
As informal as this may be
While you think, “Is this even worth the degree?”
Packed into our homes like farmed trout.
Know that, as informal as this may be,
Feel our hope, together, us is still we.
