ATLANTIC 10 NORTHMassachusetts (3-1, 1-0): The Minutemen jumped out to a 28-point first quarter lead and never looked back. Running Back Steve Baylark scored three touchdowns as Massachusetts blew out Stony Brook, 48-7.Maine (2-1, 1-0): The Black Bears took advantage of three first half turnovers as they routed Shaw University. Arel Gordon rushed for 111 yards in the 62-12 victory, and Maine will need all the offense it can get as it will travel to I-A Boston College on Saturday.New Hampshire (3-0, 0-0): Wide receiver David Ball caught three touchdown passes as the Wildcats beat Dartmouth, 56-14. Ball’s three touchdowns gave him 50 for his career, tying him with Jerry Rice for the all-time Division I-AA lead. Rhode Island (1-2, 0-1): The Rams allowed two unanswered touchdowns in the fourth quarter, falling to Delaware 24-17, and will look to rebound against Brown. Hofstra (1-2, 0-1): The Pride came up just a field goal short in its home opener, falling to Towson 33-30 in a fourth-quarter heartbreaker. Hofstra looks to recover at William & Mary. Northeastern (1-3, 0-1): The Huskies went on the road at James Madison and got trampled, 52-14. Things wont get easier for the Huskies as they’ll travel to Richmond on Saturday.
ATLANTIC 10 SOUTHTowson (4-0, 1-0): Conference newcomer Towson erased an 11-point deficit to shock Hofstra and go into a bye week undefeated. Delaware (2-1, 1-0): Quarterback Joe Flacco’s touchdown run with just under seven minutes left gave the Blue Hens the victory over Rhode Island. James Madison (2-1, 1-0): James Madison will look to keep its offense rolling as the Dukes will host VMI on Saturday.Richmond (3-0, 0-0): Quarterback Levi Brown threw for two touchdowns as the Spiders were victorious over Bucknell, 48-21. William & Mary (1-2, 0-1): The Tribe looked good as it earned its first victory this week, trouncing VMI, 38-6. Villanova (1-3, 0-1): Quarterback Marvin Burroughs threw for 274 yards and three touchdowns leading the Wildcats to a 27-20 win over Pennsylvania.
