Nassau County Police last week arrested a second suspect in connection with an off-campus armed robbery at a home rented by several University students.
Willie Ballantyne, 22, of 63 Dawes Ave. in Roosevelt, was charged with seven counts of first-degree robbery, police said.
Ballantyne and two other men are accused of forcing their way into the Uniondale home that was shared by seven University students. The suspects carried a machine gun, semi-automatic handgun and a revolver, police said.
Police previously arrested Devon Maxwell, 22, of 780 Winter Ave, in Uniondale and charged him with eight counts of first-degree robbery. They continue to search for a third suspect.
The suspects attended a party at the house on 507 Cooper Ct., in Uniondale, the night before the robbery. The three men returned the next day as the students were watching basketball on TV in their living room.
