-Darwin Munro, 41, of Jamaica was employed at the Home Depot on 600 Hempstead Tpke. as an assistant manager when he used his position to make numerous false returns where no merchandise was returned and store credit cards were issued for the value of the return. The defendant, who was arrested on Nov. 1, used the cards to make purchases at other stores. The total amount of loss is over $50,000.
Freeport
-Ten Hispanic males subjects confronted a male victim, 12, exiting the rear of John W. Dodd Middle School on Oct. 30. The subjects jumped on the victim and stole his cell phone. The subjects then fled the scene. One subject is described as 6 feet tall, 14 to 15 years old, having light complexion, long black hair and a scar on his left cheek. A second subject is described as 5 feet 2 inches tall with light complexion. A third subject is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall, 15 to 16 years old with a Mohawk haircut.
Great Neck
-In response to a burglary alarm, Kensington police arrived at a residence on Beverly Road on Nov. 1 to find the side door had been forced open. Ten minutes later, Tafarii Campbell, 17, of Brooklyn, was observed entering a house on Colgate Road. Nassau County police arrived at the scene and observed three black, male subjects emerging from the rear of the yard. Jamel Dorsett, 18, of Brooklyn, was observed to be in possession of a black laptop, which he dropped as he attempted to flee.
Hempstead
-Sean Morris, 19, and Anthony Heman, 21, approached a 16-year-old male in the vicinity of Main Street and Kellum Place on Oct. 31. One of the defendants produced a handgun and stole and undisclosed amount of cash and jewelry from the victim. Both defendants then entered Heman’s 1997 Jeep Cherokee and drove away from the scene.
Hicksville
-A 14-year-old male victim was walking in the vicinity of the rear entrance of the Broadway Mall when Jean Louis, 20, and three friends approached him on Oct. 31. Louis displayed a handgun and asked the victim if he had any money. The victim reached in his pocket and gave the defendant his cell phone. One of the defendant’s friends took the phone and gave it back to the victim. All four left the scene in an aqua Mazda Protégé.
Lakeview
-Two black male subjects approached a male victim, 19, from behind, who was walking on Woodfield Road at Clinton Ave. on Oct. 31. The subjects grabbed the victim and threw him to the ground. One subject repeatedly punched the victim in the head while the other subject forcibly removed a backpack from the victim. Both subjects fled the scene on foot.
Roosevelt
-Unknown subjects fired a round from an unknown firearm on Oct. 30 and struck a male victim, 22, in the left thigh while he was walking on Valentine Street. The round continued through the left leg and lodged in the right leg.
Uniondale
-Three male subjects confronted a male victim, 30, on Oct. 30, who was delivering Chinese food to Barry Street. The three subjects punched and kicked the victim in the head and face and stole the food and an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene in the victim’s 1997 Nissan Quest. The vehicle was recovered a few blocks away unoccupied.
Valley Stream
-Terron Milligan, 19, was witnessed firing rounds from a BB gun causing damage to parked vehicles on Oct. 31. The defendant fled on foot southbound on Broadway and was pursued by an officer who caught him. A struggle ensued. Officers recovered two black Daisy Powerline BB guns from the defendant.
-A resident on Stephen Place notified police that he discovered a noose hanging over his front light fixture on Oct. 31. The noose was tied around a head cut out of foam. The head had a white skull cap and a sign with a racial epitaph written on it.
