Baldwin
-A black male operating a red Ford minivan approached a 12-year-old student of Baldwin Middle School on Oct. 23 asking several times if he wanted to get in the van. The student was walking home from an after-school activity and was approached once on the corner of Stanton Ave. and Westervelt Ave. and again on Russell Street. The man is described as 30, of thin build, clean-shaven and short hair. There was also a black female passenger.
East Meadow
-Dennis DeMille, 29, of North Massapequa had an ongoing sexual relationship with a female victim, 16. He was arrested on Oct. 24 while the female victim was in a vehicle with him. The victim was returned to the custody of her mother.
-William Audubon, 30, of Irving Ave. was arrested for driving while intoxicated while in the vicinity of 1900 Hempstead Tpke on Oct. 27. While being administered a DWI performance test, the defendant attempted to escape by running through a rear door. After finding the door locked, the defendant turned and struggled with a police officer as he attempted to restrain him.
Elmont
-Alicia Vigil, 33, of East Rockaway, engaged in a verbal altercation with her daughter’s coach on Oct. 21 regarding e-mail directions to the field. When the coach proceeded to walk away, the mother swung a folding chair at the victim’s face cutting his lip and cheek. The defendant then left the scene.
-Edward Tupper, 45, of Keller Ave., while employed at Century 21 People Services, stole and forged 15 business checks and then cashed and deposited the checks into his account. The above transactions caused a loss of $41,000 and the defendant was arrested on Oct. 24.
-A Hispanic male in his 20’s, clean-shaven, 5-feet-7- inches tall, stocky build, light- skinned, bald, wearing a black, hooded jacket and armed with a knife, entered one of the residential cottages at the Belmont Race Track. Once inside, the suspect punched a 45-year-old male several times in the head and cut him with the knife on his left arm. The suspect removed an undetermined amount of money from the victim’s pants pocket. The victim was treated from non-life threatening injuries at Franklin General Hospital.
Freeport
– A 15-year-old male was walking home on Smith St. from Freeport High School with three other friends when two Hispanic males, wearing black ,hooded jackets approached them on Oct. 25. The victim was struck several times in the head with a plastic object and was transported to Nassau University Medical Center.
-Roy Donaldson, 42, of Whaley Street entered Compare Food Stores on W. Merrick Road, reached into the cash drawer while a female clerk was working the cash register on Oct. 24. Donaldson stole an undisclosed amount of cash and dragged the victim while she screamed for help.
Lawrence
-Raymond LeBron, 24, of Far Rockaway, entered the Five Town Money Transfer located at 203 Mott Ave. and announced a robbery on Oct. 26. The defendant ordered the two employees to the floor while pointing a firearm at them. One victim fled, hiding in the rear bathroom, and called 911. The second victim fled out the front door. The defendant removed an undetermined amount of cash and attempted to leave when he discovered he was locked in the establishment. He used a metal rod to break the plate glass door to exit.
Massapequa Park
-Deidra Jackson, 25, while in Sports Authority removed eight North Face jackets from the rack, placed them into her shopping bags and exited the store without paying for them on Oct. 26. Two unknown male subjects who were giving hand signals to her while in the store and acting as lookouts accompanied the defendant. The two male subjects fled the scene in a dark colored Nissan.
Oceanside
-Lynda Garcia, 28, of Corona, Marelvi Camelo, 56, of Elmont and Mabel Bonfante, 45 of Jamaica, acting in concert while inside Kohl’s placed assorted jewelry and clothing inside a Kohl’s bag on Oct. 24 and left the store without paying.
Point Lookout
-An unknown male assaulted a 48-year-old Oakdale man on Oct. 23 following a verbal dispute at the dock located at the end of Bayside Drive and Glenwood Ave. At the time of the assault the victim was on his boat. He told police that he was struck on the back of the head and as a result fell overboard into the water.
Roosevelt
-Terrell Beckett, 16, of Uniondale, jumped off his bicycle and grabbed a female victim, who was walking home from Uniondale High School, by the hair and pulled her to the ground on Oct. 23. The defendant then forcibly removed the victim’s cell phone from her belt. The defendant and another subject fled in an unknown direction.
-Two black male subjects entered a residence on Lincoln Ave. through a bedroom window on Oct. 24 and confronted a female victim, 76. The first subject, 5 feet 5 inches tall, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, black pants and a black ski mask, shoved the victim to the floor. The second subject held a gun to the victim’s head while the first subject went through the house. Both subjects fled the residence through the same window from which they entered.
Uniondale
-Roberto Velasquez, 19, of Hempstead, attempted to forcibly enter a single family home on Spring Ave. on Oct. 26, by cutting a window screen. Velasquez fled after becoming aware that residents in the home had seen him.
West Hempstead
-Travane Ramos, 17, approached a female victim, 57, walking north on Westminster Road on Oct. 24, and choked the victim and grabbed her purse. The victim held onto the purse and Ramos threw her to the ground and stole her purse. He then fled the scene on foot and was detained by witnesses.
Woodbury
-Kristina Williams, 22, of Orlando, Fla. offered undercover detectives sex in exchange for money on Oct. 26, after arranging a meeting online.
