Baldwin
-David Pierre, 20, and Christopher Salamone, 19, stabbed two male victims, 18 and 20, during a fight at Baldwin Billiards on Sept. 30 along with John Neira, 19, armed with a pool stick and Kevin Ondreicka, 19, armed with a sock containing cue balls. The first victim sustained a puncture wound to his stomach and chest. The second victim sustained a puncture wound to his left hip and a laceration on the back of his head.
-Thomas Montilla, 19, of Freeport, Carlos Almonte, 17, of Freeport and Jose Hernandez, 18, of Baldwin were arrested and charged with criminal facilitation in connection with the robbery of a taxi driver on Sept. 29. The victim told the officers that two males threatened him with a handgun and took his wallet and cash and fled eastbound on bicycles.
East Meadow
-On Sept. 30, Shuxia Jiang, 42, of Flushing and Ying Chen, 46, of Flushing each performed massage therapy on an undercover detective in exchange for money. Jiang offered to perform a sexual act on the detective for an unspecified amount of money. The defendants are not licensed to practice massage therapy and were placed under arrest.
Hicksville
– John Miller, 41, was observed driving a 2006 Chevy Corvette at a high rate of speed traveling eastbound on Old Country Road on Oct. 2. The car left the road at Haley Road, struck a utility pole and a building at 181 Old Country Road. The victim was pronounced dead by Nassau University Medical Center staff at 1:55 a.m.
Inwood
-Two unknown male subjects confronted a male victim, 18, and female victim, 17, on Bayview Ave. on Sept. 28 and threatened to shoot them (no weapon was displayed) unless they complied with demands for personal property. The subjects fled eastbound on foot with a cell phone and ATM card after directing the male victim to remove his clothing and lie on the ground.
The first subject is described as a black male, 19 to 21 years old, 5 feet 4 inches tall, medium build, braided hair, a bandanna over his face and wearing a black hoodie. The second subject is 6 feet 2 inches tall, thin build and wearing a black hoodie and white hat.
-Daniel Young, 18, acting in consort with another subject not yet arrested, entered fenced property belonging to the Inwood Country Club and caused extensive damage on Sept. 28. Detectives report swastikas and anti-Semitic slurs gouged into the grass with metal signs, written on the green with soil and raked into sand pits. The cost to repair property is estimated in excess of $54,000.
Massapequa
-A 2004 Dodge Stratus, operated by Nelson Espinal, 28, struck a male bicyclist, 16, traveling northbound out of the parking lot in the rear of 50 Brooklyn Ave. on Oct. 1. The bicyclist suffered massive trauma and injuries to his head and back and is listed in critical condition.
-A 27-year-old male victim heard the front screen door of his home open and went to investigate on Oct. 1. The victim found two defendants, one armed with a black BB handgun. The victim ran through his house and fled to a neighbor’s house to call police. Dwight McKnight, 20, and Marcel Bradshaw, 20, were arrested.
Oceanside
-Shirlise McLean, 18, of Ozone Park attempted to cash a fraudulent Girl Scouts of Nassau County, Inc. check in the amount of $944.72 at Commerce Bank. Upon further investigation, it was found that the defendant attempted to cash a Girl Scouts of Nassau County, Inc. check in the amount of $908.63 at a different branch of Commerce Bank on Sept. 30.
Roosevelt
-After a verbal altercation on the corner of Nassau Road and White House Ave., on Sept. 28, a 27-year-old victim was shot in the face by an unknown subject, possibly one of a group of three Hispanic males, in their early 20’s, observed fleeing from the scene southbound on Nassau Road.
Syosset
-Nicole Owens, 22, and Sabrina Smith, 23, both of North Carolina, met undercover detectives at an area motel on Sept. 27 where they offered to engage in sexual activity in exchange for money. The meeting was arranged via the Internet site Craig’s List.
Uniondale
n Enrique Mendoza, 39, became involved in a verbal dispute with a 40-year-old man while the two were inside Tu Amiga deli on Sept. 29. As the victim was leaving the establishment, Mendoza stabbed him with a knife. Mendoza fled the store, but was apprehended by other patrons who called police.
Wantagh
-Robert Moran, 18, and James Moran, 21, confronted a 21-year-old male victim on Beltagh Ave. and Holiday Park Drive on Sept. 27 and threatened him with physical injury unless he relinquished his money, which he did.
West Hempstead
-Curtis Starkes, 62, attempted to purchase a GPS from National Wholesale Liquidators on Sept. 28 using three counterfeit $50 bills. Starkes resisted the efforts of store security personnel to detain him, causing minor injury to one, but was nevertheless successfully detained.
