T.V. Networks are feeling the Halloween spirit.
FOX started the week off with “Glee” doing “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” which turned out to be a great treat. The whole Glee club sang their hearts out as always, but maybe the boys got a little bit more of a workout. Newcomer Sam and Finn ended up both singing and physically working out because both had to get down to their skivvies as Rocky and Brad. The only person missing was Puck who was still in juvie. The best part besides the play was Becky dressing up as a mini-Coach Sue.
FOX finished it off with “Raising Hope” where Jimmy finally got his kiss from Sabrina. Too bad she thought he was her boyfriend Wyatt. Both Wyatt and Jimmy were dressed up as Batman while Sabrina was Robin. Jimmy also found out the scary man in the mask that freaked him out every Halloween was his dad. His dad just wanted a good hug from him. Halloween was the only time where his dad could get love and fear in one night.
ABC had the most number of shows turning black and orange this week. They started their Wednesday night off with Halloween episodes of “Modern Family” and “The Middle” and “Cougar Town.”
“Modern Family” turned out to be Claire Dunphy’s holiday after Gloria took Christmas and Cam and Mitch took Thanksgiving. That meant everything had to go right in her haunted house including the fog machine and an appropriate outfit for Hailey. The only problem: everyone was being crazy and dysfunctional as always. The haunted house turned out to be a success after a couple of unsuccessful attempts and a couple of wardrobe changes from Hailey.
“The Middle” also had their dysfunctional Heck family who tried to enjoy the holiday. Brick dressed up as an obscure character from history to go trick-or-treating while Sue went from happy to sad when she realized she didn’t have a date for the Halloween dance. Like “Modern Family,” the character who wanted most to enjoy Halloween was the mom, Frankie. The result: both Frankie and her husband had the most fun tee peeing a neighbor’s house with toilet paper.
ABC will continue it’s ghoulish week of shows with the classic, “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” on Thursday. On the actual day of Halloween, ABC will be lucky enough to have the wives of Wisteria Lane have their own Halloween fun.
After Halloween ends, don’t be sad. You will still get a taste of some left over Halloween spooks on “How I Met Your Mother” on Nov 1st, Monday at 8 pm.
