* While cleaning out her boyfriend’s dorm in Liberty Hall, a University student was accused of verbally harassing students who she felt were responsible for banning her boyfriend from campus. The student was issued an appearance summons on Feb. 10.
* An unidentified male approached a University student on campus and tried to exchange contact information with her. The man told the student he would wait outside while she attended the class. The student contacted Public Safety during class, on Feb. 10, but when the officers arrived the man was gone.
* A University student was issued an appearance summons for refusing to comply with Public Safety officers after kicking off a doorknob in Enterprise Hall on Feb. 11. The officers reported that the student was screaming at them and appeared to be intoxicated.
* A residential director in Delph House reported a student attempting to bring a case of beer into his dorm. The student was issued an appearance summons on Feb. 11.
* After reporting a loud party in Delph House, a residential director confronted the student responsible who was described as verbally abusive and intoxicated. When Public Safety arrived to break up the party, everyone had left the scene. The two residents of the room were issued appearance summons on Feb. 12.
* Non-students, Gavin Peters, 21, and Kevin Brown, 18, both of Hempstead, were illegally entered Hofstra U.S.A.. They were escorted out banned from campus on Feb. 12.
* A Public Safety officer reported a broken fire extinguisher on the second floor of Salem House on Feb. 12.
* A University student reported her Nextel cell phone was stolen while she was in Hofstra U.S.A. on Feb. 12.
* A Public Safety officer observed a student jumping over a turnstile at the Oak Street gate. The student was also in possession of another student’s I.D. Both students were issued appearance summons on Feb. 12.
* Eight female University students reported a cab driver harassed them as they were escorted from Bogarts to Colonial Square. Both parties had agreed upon a fare, but after the girls arrived at their destination they said the driver doubled the price. The driver was paid and fled the scene before Public Safety arrived. The cab company was notified and banned from campus on Feb. 13.
* Public Safety responded to a fire alarm that was activated at 3 a.m. in Constitution Hall on Feb. 13.
* A University student reported two tires were stolen from the passenger side of his 2004 Nissan Maxima in the parking lot near Constitution on Feb. 13.
* A University student working as a lifeguard in the Swim Center reported his $70 textbook was stolen on Feb. 13.
* A University student found racial comments on the message board on her door in Bill of Rights on Feb. 13.
* A university student reported a large gash under the front headlight of his 2000 Buick parked near Nassau and Suffolk Halls on Feb. 13.
* A Public Safety officer confronted the driver of a red Volswagen who was attempting to park without a parking sticker. When asked for her identification, the driver cursed at the officer and sped away on Feb. 14. She was later identified as a University student and was issued an appearance summons.
* The President’s office received a phone call from a Port Jefferson woman requesting a University ROTC student live with her to provide protection in exchange for meals and boarding. The administrative assistant who spoke to the woman was disturbed by the phone call and contacted Public Safety.
* A University student was issued an appearance summons on Feb. 14 for failing to comply with an administrator in Calkins Hall who asked her repeatedly to stop using her cell phone while in the building.
* Two University students were issued appearance summons when their R.A. found a marijuana pipe exposed in their room in Rotterdam House. When one the students learned of the summons he confronted the R.A. and was issued an additional summons for verbal harassment on Feb. 14.
* A University student reported the passenger side of his 2002 Mitsubishi was keyed in the Netherland’s North parking lot on Feb. 15. Nassau County police were notified and filed a report.
