The Hofstra men’s basketball team had a season for the ages, filled with a 16-game winning streak, a place in the top scoring offenses in the country at No. 8 and a finale for one of the program’s all-time great players. The journey has been unforgettable thus far, but most importantly, it is unfinished. The Pride is determined to make sure that this is their year to do what players and coaches have dreamed of since the start of their careers.

After defeating the Towson Tigers 9-4 on Wednesday afternoon in Game 1 of the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Championship Tournament, the Pride took on longstanding rivals, the James Madison University Dukes, at Veterans Memorial Park and came out victorious 9-6. 

In the Hofstra softball team’s first game in the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Tournament, the Pride, who entered the CAA Tournament as the No. 2 seed, defeated the No. 3 seed Towson Tigers 9-4 in Virginia on Wednesday afternoon.

The Hofstra Pride men’s lacrosse team lost its Colonial Athletic Association tournament quarterfinal game against University of Massachusetts 10-6 on Thursday night at Garber Field, ending the Pride’s season.

This probably isn’t quite what fans of the Hofstra men’s lacrosse team expected to see when the regular season came to an end and the CAA’s top four teams gathered to compete for a conference title and a bid to the NCAA Tournament.

Everybody loves an underdog.In sports, and in March especially, people always seem to gravitate towards those scrappy longshot teams who defy impossible odds and pull off remarkable feats. 

The Hofstra men’s basketball team’s season came to an end by virtue of a 93-88 loss to the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in the quarterfinals of the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Tournament on Sunday night in Charleston.
