This probably isn’t quite what fans of the Hofstra men’s lacrosse team expected to see when the regular season came to an end and the CAA’s top four teams gathered to compete for a conference title and a bid to the NCAA Tournament.

The Hofstra softball team dominated the University of Delaware on the road to complete the Colonial Athletic Association series sweep with a 14-4 victory on Sunday afternoon.

The Hofstra Pride softball team continued its dominance in-conference with a pair of wins in a double-header against Delaware. Hofstra won the first game of a three-game road set 6-0, and the second by a 13-5 score in six frames.

After overcoming a 6-2 first quarter deficit, the Hofstra men’s lacrosse team ended up dropping their second straight Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) matchup, this one coming as a 10-9 loss to the University of Delaware on Saturday afternoon at James M. Shuart Stadium

The Hofstra women’s lacrosse team dropped a home matchup against the University of Delaware on Friday by a final score of 12-8. With the loss, the Pride drops to 7-6 on the season and 1-2 in Colonial Athletic Association competition, while Delaware improves to 6-8 and 1-2 respectively.

The Pride couldn’t do the talking with their bats this afternoon.

After scoring 20 runs combined in the last two-games, Hofstra only managed to scrap together two-runs and three hits in a 5-2 loss in extra innings to the Delaware Fighting Blue Hens. The Pride failed to complete the sweep of their CAA opponent. 

The Hofstra women’s basketball team dropped its sixth consecutive game on Sunday afternoon in a 61-41 loss against the University of Delaware Blue Hens at the Bob Carpenter Center. The Pride drop to 10-14 and 4-9 in CAA play on the season.
