The Hofstra men’s basketball team wasn’t supposed to be here.
No, literally; they weren’t supposed to have another game at the David S. Mack Sports & Exhibition Complex this season. But that’s the case on Saturday when the Pride gets to defend their home court one more time in the second round of the National Invitation Tournament (NIT) against the No. 4 University of Cincinnati Bearcats.
Following a remarkable career that saw him go from a bench player to Hofstra’s No. 2 all-time scorer, Justin Wright-Foreman’s time with the Pride has come to an end. His athleticism and record-breaking scoring drew in fans both at Hofstra and around the country.
