James Madison University limited the Hofstra baseball team to six hits to defeat the Pride 9-3 in the Pride’s regular season finale on Saturday afternoon at University Field.
Parker Quinn’s bases-clearing double in the third inning helped charge the Hofstra baseball team past Manhattan College 15-4 Tuesday afternoon in Wappingers Falls, NY.
The victory extends the Pride’s win streak to four games, bringing them to 18-15 (7-8 CAA), and the 15-run barrage marks the highest scoring total this season.
Coming into Saturday’s matchup with the Elon University Phoenix, the Hofstra Pride baseball team was on a three-game losing streak, having not scored more than three runs in those games. Those offensive struggles continued on Saturday at Elon, as Hofstra dropped their fourth consecutive contest by a score of 6-3.
The Hofstra baseball team couldn’t keep Manhattan College off the basepaths on Wednesday afternoon, walking 14 batters and surrendering six runs in the third inning on the way to a 12-4 loss to the Jaspers on a rainy day at University Field.
Vito Friscia’s four-RBI day led Hofstra baseball to a 14-6 victory over Monmouth University on Tuesday in New Jersey.
Friscia got the action going right from the start with a RBI groundout in the first inning. The Pride never trailed in the contest after.
