The Hofstra Pride men’s lacrosse team suffered a nail-biting defeat at the hands of a late rally from the University of Michigan Wolverines on Saturday, Feb. 18. It was a back-and-forth game throughout, with Hofstra holding a slight one-point lead heading into the final period. The Wolverines eventually got the last laugh, as Jacob Jackson found the back of the net with just 51 seconds left to give Michigan an 11-10 victory.

The Hofstra Pride men’s lacrosse team came up just short in their effort against the United States Naval Academy (Navy) Midshipmen, as they were defeated 13-12 on Saturday, Feb. 11, James M. Shuart Stadium at Hofstra University. The Pride are now 0-2 to begin the season, while Navy improves to 3-0.

The Hofstra Pride men’s lacrosse team kicked off its 2023 season with a 10-7 loss against the Merrimack College Warriors. The matchup was played on the road at Duane Stadium in North Andover, Massachusetts.  

The Hofstra men’s lacrosse team got off to a great start this weekend with a 4-3 thrilling comeback win over No. 13 Lehigh University on Saturday, Feb. 9. 

The Hofstra Pride men’s lacrosse team lost its Colonial Athletic Association tournament quarterfinal game against University of Massachusetts 10-6 on Thursday night at Garber Field, ending the Pride’s season.

This probably isn’t quite what fans of the Hofstra men’s lacrosse team expected to see when the regular season came to an end and the CAA’s top four teams gathered to compete for a conference title and a bid to the NCAA Tournament.
