The 2018 season for the Hofstra Pride softball team came to a devastating end Saturday evening with a loss against No. 9 University of South Carolina, 5-4.
On the brink of elimination, Hofstra's Sophie Dandola delivers the NCAA's first no hitter in the regional round of postseason play since 2013, earning the Pride a 6-0 win against UNCG Saturday afternoon.
The Hofstra Pride softball team, which entered the NCAA tournament as the No. 24 seed, fell to Liberty University 2-0 in 10 innings of play at the NCAA regional opener in South Carolina on Friday night.
