Hofstra University President Stuart Rabinowitz, alongside much of the senior administrative staff, offered concerned students an opportunity to voice their concerns and receive answers from Hofstra’s administration at the Town Hall hosted by the Student Government Association (SGA).

Hofstra students protested both for and against the relocation of the Thomas Jefferson statue that stands outside the Sondra and David S. Mack Student Center on Friday, March 30.

Exactly one month after the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, students across the nation participated in school walkouts to raise awareness regarding gun regulation in the hopes that such tragedies will never occur again. Students at Hofstra held their own March for Our Lives protest on Wednesday, March 14, organized by undergraduate students through a Facebook page to create a sense of solidarity that was reciprocated nationwide.
