In four years at Hofstra, Rokas Gustys – or as he’s better known on campus – “Rok,” has made quite the impact on Hofstra basketball.

The Hofstra men’s basketball team’s season came to an end by virtue of a 93-88 loss to the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in the quarterfinals of the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Tournament on Sunday night in Charleston.

The Hofstra Pride men’s basketball team has a tough road ahead as it prepares for the Colonial Athletic Association tournament with hopes of claiming the title and advancing to the NCAA tournament. 

The Hofstra men’s basketball team defeated the Tigers of Towson University 91-86 on Saturday at home. With Hofstra’s fourth straight win, the team improves to 12-6 in CAA play, while Towson falls to 8-10. 

Rokas Gustys turned back the clock and delivered a 22-point, 21-rebound performance reminiscent of his stellar 2015 season and Justin Wright-Foreman drilled a game-sealing three-pointer with less than a minute to go in a 90-84 win over the College of William & Mary on Thursday night at the Mack Sports Complex.

Hofstra men’s basketball suffered its biggest loss in CAA play this season on Saturday night at Trask Coliseum, falling 90-70 against defending league champion UNC-Wilmington.

The Pride got back on track Thursday night when they beat Elon University 67-48 to secure their eighth win in Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) play.

The Hofstra men’s basketball team’s valiant effort on Saturday night in Hempstead fell short in a one-point loss to the College of Charleston, with a final score of 86-85.  

In one of their most efficient games of the season, the Hofstra Pride men’s basketball team ran through the UNC-Wilmington Seahawks, winning 96-76 on Rokas Gustys’ record-setting night.
