The Hofstra baseball teams inability to capitalize in the first inning off a struggling Eli Oliphant helped Fairfield University to a 9-3 win over the Pride on Wednesday afternoon in Connecticut.
Hofstra baseball extended its win streak to seven games Saturday at the UMBC Tournament. In the first game, the Pride faced Mount St. Marys University (MD) and won 11-0 on a combined no-hitter.
