The Hofstra Pride softball team returned to the diamond in game one of the 2023 NCAA Division 1 softball tournament. The Pride took on the No. 1 overall seed, the University of Oklahoma Sooners in Norman, Oklahoma. Hofstra entered at 29-25 overall and Oklahoma entered with an impressive 51-1 record.  

The Hofstra Pride softball team finished the 2023 regular season with a victory on the road, as Adrienne Clarks squad slayed the Dragons of Drexel University by a score of 5-2. The Pride were led by Julia Apsel, who pitched a complete game for the third time this season, en route to a series sweep.

The Hofstra Pride softball team swept the Drexel University Dragons in a doubleheader at DU Softball Field in Philadelphia, PA, on Friday, May 5. The Pride won the first game by a 6-4 score, before winning the second game, 4-2. With both victories, Hofstra is 15-7 in conference play and 23-24 overall this season.

CAA (Colonial Athletic Association) play made its way to Bill Edwards Stadium for the first time this season on Friday, March 24, where the Hofstra Pride softball team split an afternoon doubleheader with the Monmouth University Hawks in their first home conference series of the year.

The day after St. Patricks Day seemed to give the Hofstra Pride softball team a lot of luck on Saturday, March 18. The Pride started Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) play on the road, sweeping archrival Stony Brook University Seawolves in a doubleheader. Hofstra won game one 7-6 and came out victorious in game two by a 9-1 score.

The Hofstra Pride softball team wrapped up its stay in Tampa, Florida at THE Spring Games on Sunday, March 6, in a one-off matchup against the Yale University Bulldogs. The Pride came into this contest on a two-game winning streak, whilst the Bulldogs were coming off a win of their own the previous day. 

For the first time this season, the Hofstra Pride softball team swept both games of a doubleheader in Tampa, Florida on Saturday, March 4. On day two of THE Spring Games, the Pride defeated the Chanticleers of Coastal Carolina University 7-2 and beat the College of the Holy Cross Crusaders 3-2 in the second game.

The Hofstra Pride softball team took the trip down to Tampa, Florida at the Madeira Beach Rec Center on Friday, March 3, taking part in THE Spring Games event. The Pride competed in a doubleheader, defeating the Bethune-Cookman University Wildcats by a 2-1 score, before falling to the Central Michigan University Chippewas in a blowout affair, 9-2.  

On Sunday, Feb. 26, the Hofstra University softball team returned to the field for the final game of the University of Georgia Classic to face the California Baptist University (CBU) Lancers and won 6-5. This marked the Prides first win of the season, snapping a nine-game losing streak.

After another doubleheader sweep, the Hofstra Pride softball team still remains winless through its first seven games. Head coach Adrienne Clarks team lost the first two games of the University of Georgia Classic on Friday, Feb. 24, the first game to the Bisons of Lipscomb University and the second one against the host No. 17 Georgia Bulldogs.

Hofstra softball wrapped up its final game of the regular season against Towson University on Saturday afternoon with a 4-2 win in Maryland. The Pride finished the regular with 37 wins and 12 losses overall and a record of 17-4 in Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) play.
