The Hofstra baseball team’s inability to capitalize in the first inning off a struggling Eli Oliphant helped Fairfield University to a 9-3 win over the Pride on Wednesday afternoon in Connecticut.
The Pride couldn’t do the talking with their bats this afternoon.
After scoring 20 runs combined in the last two-games, Hofstra only managed to scrap together two-runs and three hits in a 5-2 loss in extra innings to the Delaware Fighting Blue Hens. The Pride failed to complete the sweep of their CAA opponent.
