Softball dispatches Towson in regular season finale

Hofstra softball wrapped up its final game of the regular season against Towson University on Saturday afternoon with a 4-2 win in Maryland. The Pride finished the regular with 37 wins and 12 losses overall and a record of 17-4 in Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) play.

As low seed, Hofstra looks to make splash in CAA tourney

This probably isn’t quite what fans of the Hofstra men’s lacrosse team expected to see when the regular season came to an end and the CAA’s top four teams gathered to compete for a conference title and a bid to the NCAA Tournament.

Spirited second-half rally comes up short for Pride at No. 8 Towson

Alyssa Parrella tallied four goals and two assists as she led Hofstra women’s lacrosse in a fiery comeback in which they cut a six goal deficit to two goals, but were unable to complete the effort. The Pride fell to No. 8 Towson University 15-11 on Friday night at Johnny Unitas Stadium.

The Hofstra men’s basketball team defeated the Tigers of Towson University 91-86 on Saturday at home. With Hofstra’s fourth straight win, the team improves to 12-6 in CAA play, while Towson falls to 8-10.
