Volleyball rolls past Northeastern in straight sets

The Hofstra women’s volleyball team wrapped up their four-game road stretch with a straight set victory over Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) opponent Northeastern on Wednesday, Oct. 17, at 7 p.m. The win improves the Pride’s record to 16-6 (6-2 CAA) and drops the Huskies to 11-10 (4-4 CAA).

Pride earns first CAA win over Towson

A sense of renewal was in the air Monday night for Hofstra volleyball as they looked to avenge a heartbreaking loss last Saturday and did so in a dominating fashion, sweeping Towson 25-21, 25-18, 25-23. The Pride earned their first win in the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) in enemy territory at the SECU Arena in Towson, Maryland.

Masciullo eyes 1,000 kills in sweep of St. Johns

Twenty-three is the magic number for junior Laura Masciullo as she looks to become the 16th player to reach 1,000 kills in Hofstra volleyball history. Her number continues to inch toward it after a 14-kill performance at local rival St. John’s University (8-4) as the Hofstra Pride (8-3) swept the Red Storm in straight sets.
