Women’s basketball loses second consecutive at Music City Challenge

While the Pride women's basketball team was able to hold Marist College close in the early going, the Red Foxes eventually caught fire, handing Hofstra a 71-57 loss in the second game of the Music City Challenge on Saturday, Nov. 24 in Nashville, Tennessee. Hofstra was led by Ana Hernandez Gil, who had 16 points on the day, while the Red Foxes had the game’s highest scorer in Rebekah Hand who had 20.

Wright State defeats women’s basketball in first game of Challenge in Music City

Wright State University’s offensive prowess carried the team to a resounding 93-64 victory over Hofstra University on Friday, Nov. 23, as part of the opening day of the Challenge in Music City. The game is the first of three for both teams in the neutral-site tournament held in Nashville, Tennessee.

Women’s basketball falls to Stony Brook in Battle of Long Island

Stony Brook University won their home-opener 77-49 over Hofstra women’s basketball on Tuesday night, Nov. 13. The Seawolves’ first win of the year comes off their loss to Rutgers University in their season-opener, giving the team a 1-1 record. Hofstra drops to 1-2 and have now lost two-straight.
