Massachusetts (7-1, 5-0): Steve Baylark went over the 1,000 yard mark for the season, making him just the third I-AA player to have four 1,000-yard rushing seasons. The Minutemen had their second shutout in three games, beating Northeastern to stay undefeated in the conference.
Maine (5-3, 4-1): Maine suffered its first conference loss at the hands of Rhode Island. Although Maine was shutout, Arel Gordon collected a total of 247 all purpose yards.
New Hampshire (6-2, 3-2): New Hampshire moved over the .500 mark in the conference in outlasting Hofstra. New Hampshire’s defense looked strong in allowing just six points and got its first win in three games by a score of 10-6.
Northeastern (3-5, 2-3): Northeastern’s offense struggled as they fell to A-10 powerhouse Massachusetts. The Huskies had their best chance to score when they drove the ball down to the Massachusetts 7-yard line, but couldn’t score in a 7-0 loss.
Rhode Island (3-5, 1-4): The Rams finally broke through with a conference win over Maine. Colin Gallagher’s 47-yard field goal in the second quarter was the only scoring in the game as Rhode Island won in a strong defensive effort, 3-0.
Hofstra (2-6, 1-4): A missed extra point was just the beginning of the Pride’s problems on Saturday. Backup Dennis Davis saw time under center for the second consecutive week but only passed for 30 yards in the 10-6 loss.
