David Lee Roth, former front man of legendary rock outfit Van Halen, has been strangely absent from the limelight as of late. The outrageous Roth, 50, played with Van Halen for 10 years.
But the eternal playboy and life of the party may have finally matured: Roth has recently been training in New York City to become and Emergency Medical Technician. Roth has been riding in Manhattan for the last couple of weeks. “Not once has anyone recognized me,” said Roth.
And his labor has already provided fruit-last week Roth saved a heart attack victim in the Bronx. The suddenly private Roth has said that he enjoys the anonymity and wishes not to reveal the towns in which he’s working in order for his intentions to retain integrity. Linda Reissman, Roth’s EMS mentor, has said of Roth, “You would never know you were dealing with a rock-n-roll guy. His commitment really is touching. He wants to help people.”
