The Chronicle would like to amend certain facts printed in an article on Nov. 8 titled “39,000 runners compete in annual Marathon.”
The New York marathon was held on Sunday, Nov. 4, 2007, not Wednesday, Nov. 1.
In the caption of the photo showing the finishline, it read that the marathon was on Wednesday instead of Sunday as well.
The photo that ran with the story printed on Nov. 8 titled “Radio operators work to reunite families post-race,” had a caption that indicated women’s division winner Paula Radcliffe was pictured with her baby in the family reunion area of the race.
In fact, Radcliffe and other high profile runners did not find their families in the family reunion area. Radcliffe was pictured at the finish line.
