LARA IN THE CLUTH
Pablo Lara should be called “Mr. Clutch.” His first game-winning goal came against St. Francis (N.Y.) in a 3-0 victory earlier in the season and the last against the Tigers. Lara had just two assists all of last year, and has seen a more important role throughout his entire senior season.
CAA PLAYOFF DATES
Nov. 9 marks the conference quarterfinals, Nov. 12 is the semifinals and the conference championship takes place on Nov 14. Home field advantage is granted to the higher seeded team, but the Pride must make the playoffs before even worrying about where it’ll play the games.
TODD LEADS STATS
Michael Todd’s numbers speak volumes about his offensive role. His five goals, five assists, 15 points, and 43 shots all lead the team. With three games remaining, Todd must continue to dominate, and will likely take on a substantial amount of offensive work.
Last season he finished with 17 points in 17 games with five goals and three assists. He passed the assists mark, and goals and points are possibilities as well.
ALL-TIME AGAINST TOWSON
The first meeting between the teams was back in 1983 when Towson was Towson State University. That game ended in a 3-2 Pride win. The all-time record is 7-8-1 in Tiger favor, and both teams have the potential to be seeded five and six in this year’s CAA playoffs.
ONE MORE RANKED TEAM
James Madison marks the fourth nationally ranked opponent the Pride have faced this season. They are (0-2-1) this season, and (2-6-1) overall since joining the CAA. Eight of those nine games have been decided by one goal or tie.
