This Hofstra men’s basketball team features some unpredictability that Pride fans have been able to avoid the past two years thanks to Juan’ya Green and Ameen Tanskley, among others. Now with a large portion of their 2015-16 starting five gone, the team has to turn to a large set of very capable players, but ones that either are still young, or have yet to wear a Hofstra uniform.
Among the what-ifs: Can new faces like Deron Powers and Hunter Sabety step up right off the bat at bigger programs? How will Jamall Robinson emerge from his redshirt season? Will young players such as Desure Buie and Justin Wright-Foreman take their game to the next level? And how will the experienced core of Gustys and Bernardi perform? There is great reason to believe that this team can prove doubters wrong, and it should be fun to see if it can all come to fruition.
